Online Registration
Who can register online?
- Skaters 18 years of age or older at the time of registration.
- Parents/guardians registering children under 18.
What do I need to register online?
- A CREDIT CARD (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express card).
- An email address for signing into your account and receiving your Registration Invoice.
Need to pay by cash or cheque?
What steps do I follow to register and pay?
Step 1 - Find the Right Programs
- Go to Programs if you need more information on our programs.
- Only individual session prices are displayed during session selection. Membership discounts are applied in the cart.
Step 2 - Register for Program Sessions
- Follow the links until you find the program you are interested in.
- Click on REGISTER next to a session to register a skater. You may be prompted to login to your account. If you are new to our club, you will need to create an account before continuing.
- Complete all program session registrations before proceeding to the next step.
Step 3 - Register for the Annual Ice Show (REQUIRED)
- ALL skaters are encouraged to take part in our Annual Ice Show in April each year.
- EVERY SKATER must register either YES or NO to allow us to pre-order costumes.
- Use the Ice Show button in the cart.
Step 4 - Locker Rental (Optional)
- Rent a locker for the season. Our spacious lockers can hold a Zucca bag or large duffle bag on the bottom with room for a backpack on top. There are 2 hooks for clothes or bags.
- The locker room has a coded door entry.
- Skaters must provide their own locks.
- Use the Locker Rental button in the cart.
Step 5 - Register for Off-Ice Programs (STAR 1 and higher levels)
- We offer a variety of off-ice programs to enhance your on-ice performance.
- Use the Off-Ice button in the cart.
Step 6 - Checkout and Pay to complete your Registration
- Click on SHOPPING CART.
- Review all registration information in your cart.
- Click on BILLING INFORMATION to verify or change your billing address.
- Click on each Policy in this section to review and accept or reject. You must ACCEPT all required policies marked with a red asterix *.
- Click on PAYMENT INFORMATION to proceed with payment by credit card.
- If payment is successful, your registration is complete and you will be sent an email confirmation.

When does online registration open and close?
OPENS: August 1st at 12pm (Subject to Change - Check our Home Page for updates)
CLOSES: FRIDAY following Family Day (3rd Monday in February)
Watch the home page for announcements about changes to online registration dates.
Exceptions: Adult 18+ and Off-Ice Training registration remains open until the last few classes.
Paper applications are accepted throughout the season based on program availability.
Can I register online and pay with cash or cheque?

Why can't I register for Summer School online?
Summer School is run independently by the Summer School Directors. Summer School only accepts payment by cash or cheque. This keeps costs down and helps make Summer School an affordable option for all skaters!
Are your prices prorated if I register later in the season?
Learn to Skate and Figure Skating programs are prorated starting November 1st each season.
Some Learn to Skate programs may be priced higher during the first two weeks of November because the Early Bird Discount no longer applies.
Adult 18+ and Off-Ice programs are prorated starting from the first class.
Why are there no sessions on the registration page?
If there are no sessions available, online registration is not open for the program. You may still be able to register in person space permitting.

What is the age cutoff date for Learn to Skate programs?
Learn to Skate age requirements must be met by midnight on December 31.

Can I register from CALENDAR VIEW?
Yes, you can register directly from the calendar view!
- Click on CALENDAR VIEW.
- If you don't see any programs, go to the month of September using the < or > buttons.
- Click anywhere on a session to view full details.
- Click REGISTER.
- Choose the skater from the drop down list.
- Click ADD to confirm your choice.
- Continue adding skaters to sessions as required.
- Click on SHOPPING CART to review your cart and checkout.
Why doesn't the BILLING INFORMATION button work during checkout?
If any of the items in your cart are shown in red, click on the item to view the error message or to fill in a missing field.
All errors must be fixed before you can proceed to the BILLING INFORMATION step.

Why doesn't the PAYMENT INFORMATION button work during checkout?
To proceed to the Payment Information step, you need to review and ACCEPT or REJECT each policy.
Policies with a red * next to them must be ACCEPTED to proceed.
First Time Account Setup
What is a Home Club?
Your Home Club is the club where you register with Skate Canada. If you only skate at the North Toronto Skating Club, leave this field blank.
Why do you need to know my Previous Club?
This information is helpful when registering NTSC as your new Home Club with Skate Canada.
What if I don't know what Badges/Tests my skater has passed?
You may leave these fields blank. Only fields marked with * are required. If you are new to our club, filling in these fields helps us verify you have registered your skaters into the correct sessions.
How do I add skaters to my account?
- LOGIN using your email address and password.
- Hover over your name and click on My Account.
- Click on Skaters.
- Click on + Add New Skater.
- Fill in the required information in the Add New Skater box.
- Click on ADD SKATER.
TIP: You can also create a new skater by clicking ADD NEW SKATER when adding a program to the cart during registration.
Payment and Fees
What forms of payment do you accept?
Online Registration: Credit card ONLY. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express cards.
In person registration at the club office: Credit card, cash or cheque.
We currently do not accept debit cards.
What is your refund policy?
- The Skater Registration Fee is non-refundable after the skater's first class.
- The Fundraising Book of Tickets is non-refundable after the skater's first class.

The Skate Canada Membership fee is non-refundable once submitted to Skate Canada.

Program fees are fully refundable up to the program start date listed for each program.

No refunds after the program start date except for medical reasons. Medical refunds are issued as a 3 year club credit except under exceptional circumstances approved by the Board of Directors.

In the event of a full club closure after the program start date:

Installments due BEFORE the closure date are due in full and will not be refunded.

Installments due ON or AFTER the closure date will be cancelled or fully refunded if the payment has already been processed.

Merchandise refunds will be provided only if the item is in new, unused condition. Defective merchandise can be exchanged for a new item.

Why am I being charged a New Membership Fee?
There is a $20 New Membership Fee for each new skater. This is a lifetime membership and is only paid the first time a skater joins our club.

Why am I being charged a Skate Canada Membership Fee?
A Skate Canada Membership fee must be paid annually by each skater. This fee provides accident insurance and allows the skater to participate in Skate Canada tests, competitions, and events.
The Skate Canada Membership season runs from September 1st to August 31st. Each skater must pay the Skate Canada Membership fee every season.
If you paid a Skate Canada Membership fee for a program running from January through August of the current year, it is only valid until August 31st. Programs starting September 1st require the Skate Canada fee to be paid for the new season.

The Skate Canada Membership fee will not appear on your invoice if it has been successfully submitted to Skate Canada by your home club.

Why is the amount in my cart different than your published fees?
Have you selected the correct skater for each session?
Multiple session discounts apply to each individual skater. If two skaters in the same family register for the same level session (i.e. Canskate B), they will each pay the single session fee.
Are you new to our club?

How do I use my Club Credits?
Your club credits are automatically applied to any amounts owing in your cart at checkout.

All of your available credits are applied at checkout. The credits are applied to the amount due now and all future installments.
Can I use my Program Assistant (PA) credits online?
Yes! Your PA credits will be added to your account at the end of the season.

How do I access my account if I did not register online?
To access your member account:

- Follow the instructions to complete your account setup.
Can't remember the email you provided?
Search your email accounts for "North Toronto Skating Club Registration Invoice". The invoice will show the email address attached to your account under the Billing Information section.

How do I find out when my skater starts their session?
To see the schedule for all the skaters in your family:

- Hover over your name and click on My Account.
- Click on Calendar.
- If no programs are visible, scroll to the month of September using the < > buttons.
- Sessions for all skaters appear on the calendar.
To see the schedule of a single skater:
- Hover over your name and click on My Account.
- Click on Skaters.
- Click on the name of the skater.
- Click on Calendar.
- If no programs are visible, scroll to the month of September using the < > buttons.
- Only the sessions for the chosen skater appear on the calendar.
How do I see what CanSkate ribbons and badges my skater has earned?
- LOGIN using your email address and password.
- Hover over your name and click on My Account.
- Click on Skaters.
- Click on the name of the skater.
- Click on Achievements.
- Click on Learn to Skate.
- You will see one of the following next to each CanSkate level:
- not yet attempted
- in progress
- completed with the date of completion
- withdrawn
- To see which ribbons have been earned, click on the + next to the In Progress level star.
NOTE: This information is updated periodically throughout the season and before registration each year.

What is the locker rental period?
Locker rental runs from September 1st each year to the last day of the season.
The season ends on a Thursday during the 3rd week of May.
The start and end dates are shown in Locker Rental title during registration.
Where is the Locker Room?
The locker room is located at the end of the west corridor next to the drink vending machine.
The door has a coded lock so only skaters renting lockers have access to this room.
How big is the locker?

When do I need to remove my personal belongings?
You must remove your personal belongings including your lock at the end of the season.
The club reserves the right to cut off locks starting June 1st each year and is not responsible for damage to personal locks.

Test Fees
How do I pay for skater assessments and test days?
All assessment and test day fees must be paid online.
- Go to the Test Fees page
- Select the type of test:
- STAR 1-5 Assessment (done in class)
- NTSC Test Day (held at our club)
- Buddy Club Test Day (held at Leaside or Forest Hill)
- Add the appropriate tests to the cart.
- Checkout and pay.

What is a hospitality fee?
The hospitality fee helps to cover the costs associated with running a test day at our club. It covers food and thank you gifts for the judges and volunteers.
The hospitality fee is paid once per skater for each test day.
Why is there an administration fee?
The administration fee helps to cover costs associated with providing online registration and payment.
Show Tickets
Can I buy show tickets online?
Yes. Go to the Tickets page to purchase tickets online. Tickets are non-refundable.
We encourage you to buy your tickets online if possible.
Only a limited number of paper tickets will be available for purchase in advance and at the door on show nights.
We only accept CASH or CHEQUE at the door on show nights.
When are show tickets available?
Show tickets are sold after March break each year.
Can I show my tickets on my phone?
Yes, you can show your tickets on your phone for entry to the show.
- Bring up your Invoice from your email account.
- Click on the Print All link to show your ticket(s) for entry.
