 Who can register online?

  • Skaters 18 years of age or older at the time of registration.
  • Parents/guardians registering children under 18.

What do I need to register?

  • A CREDIT CARD (Mastercard, Visa, or Diners card).
  • An email address for signing into your account and receiving your Registration Receipt.
You must register by paper application if you want to pay by cheque or cash.
 
 

What steps do I follow to register and pay?

  1. Have your Mastercard, Visa, or Discover card ready. You must pay by Credit Card to complete your registration.
  2. Create a New Family Account (Parent/Guardian for skaters under 18) or Login to your existing account.
  3. Add skaters to your family under My Account if you are setting up your account for the first time or have new skaters in your family.
  4. Go to Registration.
  5. Find your sessions quickly by typing the skater level (i.e. CanSkate, Preliminary, Senior) into the Quick Search box.
  6. Click on the  REGISTER  button next to a session.
  7. If necessary, select the skater from the drop down list and click  CHOOSE SKATER .
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you have registered all skaters into their sessions.
  9. Select a locker rental if desired (search on locker in the Quick Search box) and click  ADD TO CART .
  10. Click on  SHOPPING CART  in the yellow menu bar to review your cart and checkout.
  11. Click the  CONFIRM & REGISTER  button.
  12. Ensure that your name, address and phone number match the information on your credit card statements. If not, click the box next to Is your Billing Information different? to enter the name, address and phone number associated with your credit card.
  13. Choose to Pay Once to pay in full or Pay by Installments (one payment now, one on October 31st).
  14. Review all the policies in the bottom right hand corner by clicking on each one. All policies must be accepted except for the Media Release.
  15. Please complete all pages of the Volunteer Sign Up form and click the  SUBMIT  button to register your choices. Once the Thank You page is displayed, click  ACCEPT  to continue with your checkout.
  16. Click on  PAY BY CREDIT CARD .
  17. Enter your credit card information and click  Submit .
  18. When your payment is accepted, a Registration Invoice will be displayed and your registration is confirmed.  A copy of this Invoice will be sent to your email address.

When does online registration start and end?

Start: June 30th at 7am. Watch the home page for announcements for changes to the registration start date.

End: October 31 of each year for all STAR and Competitive Level programs. Early February for all CanSkate programs. Adult program registration is available all season.

Paper applications are accepted throughout the season based on program availability.

Are your prices pro-rated if I register later in the season?

Early Bird pricing is in effect until October 31, 2017.  Online pricing is prorated starting November 1, 2017. However, some programs may be priced higher during the first week or two of November because the early bird discount no longer applies.

How do I add skaters to my account?

  •  LOGIN  using your email address and password.
  • Click on  MY ACCOUNT  in the yellow menu bar at the top of the screen.
  • Click on Skaters.
  • Click on + Add New Skater.
  • Fill in the required information in the Add New Skater box.
  • Click on  ADD SKATER .

What if I don't know what Badges/Tests my skater has passed?

You may leave these fields blank. Only fields marked with * are required. If you are new to our club, filling in these fields helps us verify you have registered your skaters into the correct sessions.

What is a Home Club?

Your Home Club is the club where you register with Skate Canada. If you only skate at the North Toronto Skating Club, leave this field blank.

This information is helpful when registering NTSC as your new Home Club with Skate Canada.

How do I find the right sessions for my level?

  • Type the name of your level in the Quick Search box (i.e. Canskate, PreStar, Senior).
  • Sessions are filtered as you type.
  • For example, type Canskate and all Canskate programs will appear.
  • Click on  REGISTER  to add sessions to the cart.

Can I register for sessions from the CALENDAR VIEW?

  • Click on  CALENDAR VIEW .
  • Go to the month of September using the < > buttons.
  • Click anywhere on the session you want to register a skater in.
  • Choose the skater from the dropdown list in the popup window.
  • Click on  CHOOSE SKATER  to confirm your choice.
  • Continue adding skaters to sessions as required.
  • Click on  SHOPPING CART  in the yellow menu bar to review your cart and checkout.

Why are there missing sessions or no sessions at all?

Has Online Registration opened yet?

Sessions will only be available between start and end dates and times posted on the website.

Have you typed a search term in the Quick Search box?

Clear all text in the search box to restore the full program list.

Have you chosen one of the filters under Find Sessions?

Remove any unwanted filters by clicking on the trash can next to the chosen filter.

Have you chosen Open Sessions or Open & Waitlisted in the Show dropdown?

This option will not show all full sessions thus preventing you from adding a skater to a waitlist.
TIP: Select All Sessions under Show to see all sessions.

Can I register for a single session in Intermediate and higher levels?

At these levels, single sessions registrations are considered on an individual basis and depend upon session availability.

Can I add extra sessions to my Full Senior or Full Advanced Membership?

At these levels, extra sessions are granted to full members on an individual basis and depend upon session availability. You must register for all 6 sessions at your level either online or by paper application to qualify for full membership status.

What is the age cutoff date for CanSkate and IntroSkate?

CanSkate and IntroSkate age requirements must be met by midnight on October 31.

Can I use my Program Assistant (PA) Credit online?

Your PA credit will be available at checkout. If it is not available, please contact the club administrator at northtorontoskatingclub@gmail.com.

What if I paid my Skate Canada Membership Fee at my Home Club?

The Skate Canada Membership fee will not appear on your invoice if it has been successfully submitted to Skate Canada by your home club. If you believe we have charged you a Skate Canada Membership fee in error, please contact the club administrator at northtorontoskatingclub@gmail.com.

Why am I being charged a New Membership Fee?

There is a $20 New Membership fee for each new skater. This is a one time fee to cover the administration costs of setting up a new membership for that skater.

If a skater has taken sessions at our club in a previous season but has never registered online, please contact the club administrator at northtorontoskatingclub@gmail.com.

Why is the charge in my cart different than your published fees?

Have you selected the correct skater for each session?

Multiple session discounts apply to each individual skater.  If two skaters in the same family register for the same level session (i.e. Canskate), they will each pay the single session fee.

Have you added one or more locker rentals?

Each locker you rent costs $40 per year.

Why doesn't the  CONFIRM & REGISTER  button work?

If one of the items in your cart is shown in  red , the session requirements have not been met.

Click on the  ?  next to the session with the red background to view the error message. The error may be due to an age limit or you may need to add a subscription to the cart.

If the skater does not meet the age criteria you have two choices:

Change the skater in the dropdown list to one that meets the age criteria.

OR

Remove the session from the cart by clicking on the trash can.

TIP: Once all errors have been cleared, the  CONFIRM & REGISTER  button changes to green.

How do I fill in the Volunteer Form?

  • Click on the Volunteer Sign Up link.
  • Fill in each page of the survey and click  NEXT  on each page until you reach the last page of the survey.
  • Click on  SUBMIT  to complete the survey. (You may need to scroll down)
  • Click on  ACCEPT  to continue with your registration.

Why did I get a "Leave Page or Stay on Page" message while filling in the Volunteer form?

If you clicked on  ACCEPT  or  REJECT  before completing the survey, a message asking you to Leave or Stay on the page will appear and your volunteer information will be lost.

* Click on the Volunteer Sign Up link again.
* Make sure to scroll down and and click  NEXT  on each page until you reach the last page of the survey.
* Click on  SUBMIT  to complete the survey. (You may need to scroll down)
* Click on  ACCEPT  to continue with your registration.

How do I add another volunteer?

Before you have completed your registration, you can click on the Volunteer Sign Up link again to complete the form for another volunteer. This link is on the Contact / Billing Information page of the cart.

If you have completed your registration, please visit our Volunteer page to sign up another volunteer.

Program Assistants DO NOT need to be registered through the Volunteer Sign Up form. Program Assistant information will be sent by email at the beginning of the season.

How do I specify a different Media Release answer for each of my family members?

The media release applies to all skaters registered together on one Registration Receipt (Invoice).
Please contact the club administrator at northtorontoskatingclub@gmail.com if you need to block the media release for a specific skater or skaters.

  •  LOGIN  using your email address and password.

  • Click on the edit pencil next to any outstanding amount.
  • Fill in your credit card details.
